Change in human subjects research process The KUMC Human Research Protection Program will be implementing a new web-based submission process that will affect anyone who conducts or approves human subjects research. You must complete the health assessment questionnaire (worth 10 credits) and earning an additional 20 credits (for a total of 30 credits) by July 31, 2013, to qualify for a $480 premium incentive discount for plan year 2014. TAKE NOTEJune 19: The retirement reception for David Lee Brown, assistant director of construction administration, has been rescheduled from June 7 to June 19, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Read more. Daniel Swagerty, M.D., MPH, associate chair for geriatrics and palliative care, Department of Family Medicine, and associate director for education, Landon Center on Aging, has received a $1 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. Read more. Carol Fabian, M.D., professor and director of the Breast Cancer Prevention Unit, was recently honored for her leadership with the Pearl Award from the Girl Scouts. Why can't the money shortage be allocated from the endowment fund?" Read the answer. Gerald Kerby, a professor in the Department of Medicine and Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and faculty member for 48 years, died on June 12. |
