Investment from individuals and organizations has become a critical piece of support for driving Alzheimer's treatment and prevention research. Members of our Community Partners Program are local companies and organizations that care about making a difference here in the Kansas City area. With their financial support, we are be able to accelerate our research efforts to treat and prevent Alzheimer's. Their philanthropy will directly benefit the community in which their employees, residents and volunteers live and work. We are pleased to feature these Partners on our website and work closely with them to advance care and understanding of Alzheimer's.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 124 supports active members and retirees who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. The IBEW was particularly drawn to the KU Alzheimer's Center because the disease is so pervasive and terrible. Most of their members have been personally touched in one way or another by the disease.
