Title: Clinic nurse

Role in the ADC: Assisting with rooming patients, taking vital signs, inputting information into O2, testing for the doctors and practitioners, return phone calls, disability paper work, medication refills, obtaining scans, calling results to families and patients.

Clinical interests: Finding out more about this disease progression, signs and symptoms, and knowledge about the differences between the several different types of Alzheimer's and dementia.

Education and training: Studied at Hannibal LaGrange for Music and Art. Completed my LPN at Area Technical School in KCK (which is now KCK Community College). Completed my I.V. certification at Sharon Lane. Started as a vent nurse at Indian Meadows for five years, moved onto Sweetlife at Rosehill as charge nurse of the Alzheimer's long-term care unit and moved up as the Assistant Director of Nursing at the Sweetlife of Shawnee where I was for three years.

Certifications/Licensure: Licensed as an IV certified LPN

Personal Interests: When not working, I have three boys (husband included) who all play baseball year-round. When I am not doing baseball, I create. Clothes, diaper cakes, crafts, school projects, whatever I can get my glittery hands on!
