The Alzheimer and Memory Program team at the Landon Center on Aging on the University of Kansas Medical Center campus is comprised of a group of highly-trained healthcare professionals dedicated to thorough medical, clinical and psychometric assessments; accurate diagnosis; and individualized treatment of our research participants with memory problems.
We are experienced in caring for patients with Alzheimer's disease and memory problems and proficient in the research process.
Our staff recognizes the potential physical, mental, emotional and social burden which the diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease implies for the patient and the family. At each visit, our staff evaluates the patient's and family's evolving physical, mental, emotional and social needs. We encourage our research participants to utilize the services of our social worker, our pharmacist and the expertise of the national Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org.
