Kirmayer Recreation Center has the best instructors in town from Kansas City natives, KUMC students, to those that now call Kansas City their home. We all come from different backgrounds and bring a unique flavor to Kirmayer, but the one thing we share in common is we LOVE WHAT WE DO. About Me: Health and fitness have always been an important part of my life. This emphasis strongly influenced my decision to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. Currently I am a second year DPT student at KUMC. It has been very gratifying to share with others the wonderful sense of well-being that can occur with participation in group fitness.

About Me: Hayley Chervenyis a group exercise instructor with a passion for bringing creativity and fun to your fitness! She has always loved the physicality of the human body since starting dance as a young child. Ms. Cherveny received her BA in Dance from Kansas State University and went on to become a professional modern dancer. For the past four years, Hayley has been taking her own personal fitness to the sky as an Aerial Acrobat, alongside developing her group fitness and personal training career. She is a NETA Certified Group Exercise and Pilates instructor, Les Mills CX Worx Certified and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She has been teaching at Kirmayer Fitness Center for the past year and is currently teaching Vinyasa Yoga, Barre Blast, and is excited to introduce POWER HALF HOUR!

About Me: I enjoy helping people challenge themselves physically with exercise whether it's in a personal training session or group fitness class. About Me: Sally, a licensed clinical social worker, is passionate about the role lifestyle and mindfulness can play in mental wellness and has worked in the field of aging and mental health the past 10 years. Sally enjoys teaching yoga to all populations and bodies with the goal of creating a non-intimidating atmosphere -- ideal for beginners.
Despite ridiculously tight hamstrings, Sally is excited to have received her RYT 200 hours via YogaFIT and finds yoga "one of the most nurturing things I do each week!" Sally is married with a daughter and enjoys cycling, traveling, and just being outside!
